What is an emcee and what is a DJ?
An emcee (MC) is a Master of Ceremonies and your main entertainer. The emcee is on the floor interacting with the kids and setting your event’s tempo. A DJ is a Disc Jockey who works in tandem with the MC to keep your music running smoothly. Having an MC and a DJ ensures that the party keeps going without breaks all day or night long.
How do I select the right MC and DJ for my daughter's Bat Mitzvah?
We offer many exciting entertainers. If you have a specific entertainer in mind we encourage you to request that person for your party. All requests will be subject to availability. If you have never met one of our esteemed crew, we can definitely schedule a time for you to speak directly to your MC or DJ.
What do an MC and DJ do at a Bat Mitzvah?
Bat Mitzvah entertainment is usually accomplished by entertaining the kids and the adults in ways that both enjoy. Typically, during the first hour the MC and DJ engage the kids in a fun game or dancing activity on the dance floor. Other satellite games are available but the dance floor is generally the center of activity. As the party continues, we mix in games and dances to appeal
to everyone in attendance.
An MC and DJ also organize the Motzi over the challah and the candle lighting ceremony. We work with you and prepare music ahead of time and make certain that the all the most memorable moments are capturable and perfect. Your MC will kick off the dancing with a Hora and chair lifting of multiple family members if necessary.
What do Dance Motivators do at a Bat Mitzvah?
Dancers are a great addition to any party and especially great at Bat Mitzvahs. They interact with kids and adults helping the MC keep the all the kids engaged in the activities and games. Dancers motivate the crowd and teach fun dance steps to your guests.
When should I reserve a date?
Clients generally book entertainment immediately after finalizing the date of the event. It is one of the most important aspects of the event and taking care of it early in the planning process alleviates any problem with availability. We recommend booking our services a year or more in advance. However, we can work within a lesser time frame if necessary.
How do I check availability and reserve a date?
Call our office at 877-GET-WJDJ and speak to our staff. We can answer any questions and book your date simply by filling out a contractual agreement and returning the contract with a deposit.
What is a WJ Bat Mitzvah package?
A Bat Mitzvah package consists of an MC, DJ, professional sound system and all preplanning, preparation or instate travel time. It also includes a prize package of fun giveaway novelty items for the kids and adults. Our package price includes 4 hours of playing time. There are many fun options and add-ons available for a customized experience.
What kinds of options or add-ons are available?
We offer plenty of solutions including upgraded sound system, lighting for the dance floor, extra time, live music components, Digitography, Video Screen and projection, Video montage, performers and more and more.
How much is required as a deposit?
The deposit is 50% of the total package price. Your deposit is non-refundable but is transferable to another time, date or event when rescheduled within one year from original date.
What forms of payment are acceptable?
Deposits and balances are payable in cash or check. Credit card payment will be available soon so please check with our office if you have any questions.
When do we discuss the reception details?
After booking with WJ Productions, we will send you a Data/Information sheet to help you communicate ideas and information to us. We ask you for all necessary details and leave room for any ideas you wish to tell us about.
We ask that data sheets be returned to WJ one month prior to the event. Your MC will go over any final details the week prior to the event.
