When do we discuss the reception details?
After booking with WJ Productions, we will send you a Data/Information sheet to help you communicate ideas and information to us. We ask you for all necessary details and leave room for any ideas you wish to tell us about. We ask that data sheets be returned to WJ one month prior to the event. Your MC will go over any final details the week prior to the event.
What is an emcee and what is a DJ?
An emcee (MC) is a Master of Ceremonies and your main entertainer. The emcee is on the microphone making announcements and setting your event’s tempo. A DJ is a Disc Jockey who works in tandem with the MC to keep your music running smoothly. Having an MC and a DJ ensures that the party keeps going without breaks all night long.
What do an MC and DJ do at a wedding reception?
At a wedding reception, the MC and DJ provide the continuity from start to finish of a party. The DJ will play great background music during the cocktail hour while the MC will prepare the bridal party for introductions. The MC announces family members and bridal party arrivals along with the newly married bride and groom. We help lead you through the first dance, blessing, toast and parent dances as well. In addition, the cake cutting, garter/bouquet ceremonies can be part of the fun too. Any other traditional or unique ideas are always welcome.
How do I select the right MC and DJ for an event?
We offer many exciting entertainers. If you have a specific entertainer in mind we encourage you to request that person for your party. All requests will be subject to availability. If you have never met one of our esteemed crew, we will schedule a time for you to speak directly to your MC or DJ.
When should we reserve a date?
Clients generally book entertainment immediately after setting the date of the event. It is one of the most important aspects of the event and taking care of it early in the planning process alleviates any problem with availability. We recommend booking our services a year or more in advance. However, we can work within a lesser time frame if necessary.
How do I check availability and reserve a date?
Call our office at 877-GET-WJDJ and speak to our staff. We can answer any questions and book your date simply by filling out a contractual agreement and returning the contract with a deposit.
What is a WJ Wedding package?
Our wedding package consists of an MC and a DJ, a professional sound system and all pre-planning, preparation and instate travel time. Our package price for a weddings vary, please call for current rates.
What kinds of options or add-ons are available?
We offer plenty of solutions including upgraded sound system, lighting for the dance floor, extra time, live music components, Digitography, Video Screen and projection, Video montage and more.
How much is required as a deposit?
The deposit for our wedding package is 50% of the total package price. Your deposit is non-refundable but is transferable to another time, date or event when rescheduled within one year from original date.
What forms of payment are acceptable?
Deposits and balances are payable in cash or check. Credit card payment will be available soon so please check with our office if you have any questions.
